In what way does your yoga practice enhance your chosen dimension of wellness?

The health related dimensions of wellness are: Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, Social, Intellectual and Environmental. Some health experts also add Occupational wellness to the list. Your assignment is to research a dimension of wellness and relate your yoga practice to one of these dimensions. You may be able to relate your yoga practice to more than one, but please pick only one dimension to research and discuss in this assignment.
This paper is should be no longer than 3 pages in length and have the following:
An introductory paragraph covering your own personal yoga history. How long have you been practicing? What does that practice look like, meaning do you practice every day, twice a week, in classes or at home, etc.? What is your motivation for practicing yoga? What are your expectations for your yoga practice? What about Yoga is attractive to you at this time in your life? (I did yoga for 2 years during High School Fooball. It helped with my flexibility and balancing.)
Give then a summary of the dimension of health you have researched. The research should be based on scholarly writing; Wikipedia, blogs, etc. are not acceptable sources. Make sure you are properly citing your paper in the APA format (Links to an external site.). Quality sources such as IYNAUS (Links to an external site.), or IAYT (Links to an external site.) that are well established and organized by yoga experts are to be used, not sources from yoga “fad” type exercise sources.
Discuss how yoga relates, if you feel it does, to the dimension of wellness you have researched. In what way does your yoga practice enhance your chosen dimension of wellness? Have you experienced the relationship between your yoga practice and chosen dimension of wellness directly or only in theory? In other words, are you hoping that your practice will help with your chosen dimension or have you already experienced this?
Finally, as mentioned above, you need to cite your paper. Include in text citations in the body of your paper and a works cited page at the end. Your works cited page does not count in your page count.
