In what ways is Mason’s interpretation similar to or different from your own interpretation of Proverbs 31? In “How Big is the Gospel?” Eric Mason writes, “Some Christians believe that to include social liberation and justice in the gospel is to preach a ‘different gospel.’ Others believe that to exclude social liberation and justice as part of the gospel is to deny the gospel” (44). However, that idyllic time has never existed.” What is an “innocent reading of history,” and how does it prevent reconciliation between races?
