Choose one of the following infectious diseases for your presentation, Coronaviruses, Ebola,Influenza, Hepatitis, HIV/AIDS, Human Papillomavirus, Zika, Meningococcal Disease, Measles, Polio.
Format: MS Powerpoint or google slides , Powerpoint is preferred. 10 slides minimum. Remember to cite each slide with APA in text citation.
Expected Format:
Slide One: Your Name, Topic, Course etc.
Slide Two: Basic facts of the disease, whether viral, bacterial, who it affects, which countries it affects etc.
Slide Three: The Prevalence and Incidence of the disease globally.
Slide Four: Explain how the disease is transmitted and try to apply the chain of infection concept ( Pathogen, Reservoir, Method of Transmission, Susceptible host).
Slide Five: Describe the symptoms of the disease.
Slide Six: How is the disease diagnosed?
Slide Seven: What public health measures are currently in place globally, to prevent and alleviate the spread of the disease?
Slide Eight: Choose a country and highlight how this measure mentioned in slide seven has helped to prevent and alleviate the disease in the country chosen for this slide.
Slide Nine: Using the three core functions of public health ( assessment, policy development and assurance) say how you would create and implement additional public health measures or promote the current measures to prevent and eliminate this disease globally.
Slide Ten: References, list all sources used by APA.
