Informatics Solution Proposal: Specific Solution Presentation
(intended audience is the directors of a urgent care department)

Develop a proposal in which you evaluate Epic and Cerner EHR program products.
The GOAL is to PERSUADE the directors of the Urgent Care to IMPLEMENT the chosen informatics solution (which after a thorough evaluation turns to be Epic).

ISSUE – slow delivery of care and overcrowded Urgent Care department due to the use of paper records.
SOLUTION – implementation of EHR system (Cerner or Epic)
The SELECTED PRODUCTS – Cerner and Epic

Address the following details in your proposal:
– A brief description of the administrative issue ( slow delivery of care & overcrowded urgent care department due to the use of paper records).
– A concise overview of the two products (Cerner & Epic) including an evaluation of all relevant features/functions of each product.
-Select ONE product (I decided to go with Epic) for implementation and provide a clear explanation about why you chose it.
-TWO suggestions of how the chosen product could be implemented.
-TWO suggestions for how the chosen product would be evaluated after implementation.
-A future trend in this area (Nursing Informatics).

Develop the proposal as a POWERPOINT presentation using 18-20 slides with DETAILED speaker notes (100-250 words for EACH slide).
