Discuss the following:
Part 1: Information Overload. Please summarize current
research data how we are bombarded with information as individuals (family
and home lives, shopping, social media, news, gaming, etc.) as well as in
our work in government organizations every day. What some of the
consequences of information and sensory overload?
Part 2: What are some of the technologies (data analytics,
artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc.) we can use to distill
down the information to what we need and has value for our work in the
public sector?
Part 3: So, how do we make sense of all this information, in
addition to technologies helping us as you discussed in Part 2? How can
critical thinking, identifying and taking into account the vested
interests and agendas of the data sources, etc. help us make and
communicate wise decisions, and then take action?
