Compose a well-written, well-organized, thoughtful essay grounded in specific examples in response to ONE of the following questions. Your essay will have a clear thesis, be organized into multiple paragraphs, present an argument supported by specific examples, and draw clear conclusions.
It will number 5-6 complete pages, include page numbers, possess standard margins, be word processed in Times New Roman 12 point font, be double-spaced, and follow the conventions of formal writing. Late papers will not be accepted.
Remember that a prompt asking you to “discuss” should be read “accept, reject, or modify, and explain.” Explain why you agree or disagree, and why you accept or reject alternative theses. Be sure to answer all parts of the question and be as specific as possible with both examples and chronology. Use appropriate information gleaned from all course materials.
