1. The research question for your essay is: Is social media detrimental for teens? Your answer is your thesis statement. Do not use first person language in your thesis statement. Example Thesis: For teens, th use of social media is detrimental because it can lead to internet addiction, cyberbullying, low self esteem and poor performance in school.
