Writing Your Opinion Paper
Write your opinion paper, incorporating any feedback and direction from your teacher. Your research paper should have an introduction, body, and conclusion. Typically, you would have one paragraph for each for your introduction and conclusion. The body of your research paper can have multiple paragraphs. The focus of the body of your paper should be your thesis (i.e. opinion) and three main points supporting this thesis.
Include any relevant data you obtained from your research to support your main ideas. Ensure your data is obtained from a credible source.
Use in-text citations to reference any information you wish to present that is not your own original idea, such as data and theories or opinions of others.
Submit a reference list that includes all the sources you used in your research paper. Ensure that both your in-text citations and reference list are completed according to APA style.

Your submission should include the following:

Introduction
The introduction paragraph introduces to the reader your opinion and your supporting arguments. It should contain five sentences, all helping to explain your topic.
Sentence 1: Explain your opinion about your topic.
Sentence 2-4: State your first, second, and third reasons or arguments to support your opinion.
Sentence 5: Restate your opinion and three arguments using different words.
Body Paragraphs
Body paragraphs provides proof or examples to support your arguments. Depending on the topic of your opinion paper, you may need to research credible sources to find data supporting your arguments. All three paragraphs follow the same five sentence structure.
Sentence 1: Introduce one of your three arguments.
Sentence 2-4: Provide your three pieces of evidence/examples to support your argument.
Sentence 5: Restate your argument and three pieces of evidence using different words.
Concluding Paragraph
The concluding paragraph is much like the introduction. It summarizes your opinion and supporting arguments. It does not have to be five sentences in length, but it must include the following.
Restate your opinion using different words.
Restate your three main arguments or reasons using different words from what you used earlier in the essay.
Your last sentence should be a powerful ending, or call to action, to inspire your reader to believe in your writing.
