4. If you were a Commissioner what action would you recommend to the President? Please explain your recommendation.

· Gain experience with important writing skills–summarizing information, giving succinct recommendations, and assessing the strengths and weaknesses of your recommendations.
Keys to Success:
· As you read the case below, begin prewriting by underlining and annotating information that seems to be essential to understanding the case before the Trade Commission.
· Present the summary as a problem, which will help convey the information in a lively way.
· Write your recommendations in the grammatical form of commands. That is, start the first sentence of each recommendation with a verb.
· An excellent paper will include material from the chapter as well as the lectures. It will list three strengths and weaknesses for each recommendation.

Your paper is worth 10 points and will be graded on the following criteria:
· Mechanics/Format—Free of errors in grammar, spelling and format. Good choice of words. Restates questions and gives answers.
· Logic—Well organized paper with ideas arranged logically.
· Content—Responds to the assignment. Displays understanding of this week’s textbook, video and Powerpoints assignments.
