Part 2 of the Article Summary Assignment is worth up to 50 points.
(1) Read the attachment:
Standard Outline Model: To ensure sufficient analytic thought was invested while reading the article, and the right amount of material has been planned for meeting the summary’s content and length requirements, the outline must show at least 3 levels deep of details. An outline model useful as a starting point for this assignment is provided.
Article Summary Guidance: Provides advice for how to go about writing the summary for this assignment.
(2) Carefully read the selected journal article.
(3) Create an outline for the summary based on the guidance and using the outline model provided.
(4) SUBMIT the outline as a WORD document.
NOTE: Students MUST submit an OUTLINE – NOT a completed summary – at this time. Why? Because this confirms students are planning BEFORE writing, and allows the instructor to provide feedback to those who may need to adjust their writing plans.
Submitting a fully written summary instead of an outline for Part 2 will result in an immediate ZERO for all three parts of the assignment;
