Justice Perspectives and Outcomes

Your task is to write a two part logical argument essay:
(1) First summarize your understanding and reflections of law and justice as articulated by proponents of conservatism and liberalism. In this portion of the assignment, you will create an argument (or set of arguments) describing which of these two perspectives conceptions of law and justice is more influential/pervasive than the other in the Canadian legal system todayy. You must discuss both perspectives and support your position.

(2) Second, employing one of the Critical Perspectives from Unit 2, you will examine why rules or laws may not necessarily lead to justice. Why are rules not enough to achieve just outcomes? Can law be a tool to achieve justice, and if so, how? Or must we look outside of law to achieve justice, and if so, why?
