1) First, view the three images of paintings attached to this Discussion Board below: Pieter Breughel the Younger’s The Village Lawyer, Honore Daumier’s The Skillful Defender, Abraham Solomon’s Waiting for the Verdict. Choose only one of the paintings and write out how you find yourself responding to it: What catches your eye in the painting, what thoughts come to mind, what feelings are awakened in you? Do you find any connection between what is shown in the painting you chose and what you know of lawyers and/or court processes today? (painting in file)
2) Second, listen to the two videos below and tell the class the most important thing you find you are taking away from each video (any insights or learnings?) You have to respond to both and not just to one of them. (It would be good to quote from each video.)
