Module Description
Reflect on the nature of Leadership and on
personal growth in systemic thinking. Kotters model provides a framework for
the steps needed to successfully implement changes in an organization. While
these steps are critical, they represent planning outcomes without detailed
discussion of the many attributes of leadership that need to be part of a
successful implementation. Emotional intelligence plays an important part in
the success of individual participants. The ability to deal with conflict,
innovation or with organizational obstinacy is also key to overcoming the
barriers to successful completion of the steps in the change model.
Professional Standards
Nursing practice at the doctoral level
reflects any form of nursing intervention that influences healthcare for
individuals, populations and systems. Students will analyze
organizational, management and social science theories in the context of
organizational leadership and change management. The topic of systems thinking
is emphasized.
