LEADERSHIP PHILOSOPHY

In this assignment, you will be reflecting upon and
describing your own leadership style and philosophy. Use specific experiences
from your work, volunteer, community and/or personal life to illustrate your
points.

The following questions should be considered in your
analysis:

How effective/ineffective are you as a
leadership? Back this up with specific examples.

Who or what has influenced your leadership
style? Parents? Teachers? Past bosses? Specific workplace experiences?

Are you satisfied with your leadership style?
Why? Why not?

How do others respond to you as a leader? Give
examples.

How would you assess your own general response
to authority figures? Do you comply easily? Do you ever fight the leader
instead of complying? Why? Why not?

How might you improve your leadership style and
behaviors? Explain and be specific.

What does your leadership approach assume about
the nature of the people you lead? (Examples: they need to be told what to do;
they are motivated to do the right thing; they can or cant be trusted, etc.)

How does change impact your leadership
behaviors?

How does conflict impact your leadership
behaviors?

In one sentence, how would you describe your
leadership philosophy?

How do you want to be

NOTE:

This
paper should be written in the first person. (Use I and me to refer to
yourself.)
Paper
should be 5-7 pages in length; double-spaced; one-inch margins all around.
Need
to research and reference a minimum of 5 sources not including the
textbooks. Reference sheet should be included at the close of your paper.
References can be books, journals, articles, videos
All
references must be cited in your paper using APA citation style.
