For this assignment, you are to write a linguistic autobiography research paper that connects your experience as a user of one or more American language (this includes ANY language that you may know or speak from anywhere in the world) to concepts covered throughout this course. Reflect on how your experience as a speaker/signer of a language (or languages) has been formed and about who or what has been part of this formation. You should contextualize your experiences in the larger social setting and explore how these experiences have shaped your own attitudes about language. To do this, apart from your academic research, you may interview family members and friends with whom you have grown up.
You can find your own sources, you don’t have to write according to the reading given by the professor.
