(1) James argues that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone (James 2:24) which seems to contradict what Paul writes concerning justification by faith and not by works (Romans 4). Both apostles use Abraham as support for their instruction. Explain the differences and congruency between James theological instruction and Paul’s. [Helpful sources: class discussion, Jobes (ch. 5), and Moo (pp. 37-43 and 118-144.]
