listening skills and communication

Think about your experiences communicating with people at work, school, or volunteering. Using a conversation you have recently had, illustrate how the communication process outlined in chapter 8 unfolded in your conversation.
Next, provide an example of a time when you have filtered information and explain why you filtered the information. Lastly, do you consider yourself a good active listener? Why or why not? Referencing the chapter 8 content about listening skills, explain which components of listening skills and habits you are strong in and which you feel you could improve upon.
Be sure to thoroughly explain your experience with communication and active listening, provide clear examples, and support your points with evidence from the course content or your own research.
When posting, acknowledge where your ideas come from by mentioning your resources and include a link when appropriate. You do not need to include formal citations for discussions.
Respond to two peers. Compare and contrast your experience with that of your classmates’. Be sure to add new insights, incorporate examples, and back up your points with evidence from the course content or outside sources. Go beyond agreeing with peers, congratulating others on good posts, and thanking people for making good points.
