Review a past school board meeting, or any other past or upcoming city committee meeting and submit a two page word processed summary of the outcome of the meeting, along with the agenda of the meeting.
This assignment requires that you either participate in a meeting via online or simply review a past city council, planning commission, or school board meeting and report on the following:
Research the items being discussed prior to review of the meeting. Choose an issue that is of concern to you.
List the council/commission/board members and their occupations.
Attach a copy of the agenda to your report.
Describe how the issue you chose was handled (background information, debate, and decision).
Did you agree or disagree with the vote? Explain why?
Discuss your general impressions of how the meeting was conducted.
Your two page minimum written response to this assignment must accompany the copy of the agenda. You may submit as an attachment.
