Looking at the different subregions discussed under this Module, the student will choose one country in any subregion and discuss in detail the institutions which has affected the success/ or failure of economic growth and development of the country in the 20th and the 21st century.
This is an open book/open note reflection paper, which will be uploaded to Canvas. It will be based on the lectures, Powerpoints and readings. The students will answer the question asked, not exceeding 2000 words.
A reflection should include an introduction. A good introduction paragraph is an essential part of any academic essay. It sets up your argument and tells the reader what to expect.
Body paragraph(s) under which you can write what you observed (objective discussion) & what you learned or what made you think (subjective discussion).
Conclusion is the final paragraph of your reflection. A strong conclusion aims to tie together the reflection’s main points & show why your argument matters & leave the reader with a strong impression. Your conclusion should give a sense of closure and completion to your argument, but also show what new questions or possibilities it has opened up.

Reflections should be free of grammatical, spelling or punctuation errors. The assignment is based on 25 points shown on the rubric provided under the Assignment. If you receive 17 or above, the assignment is “complete”, below 17 is “incomplete”.
