For this week’s short paper you will work on the marketing objectives and target market plan for your business or organization. (Hot Tub Boats Company in Seattle) Please check out the information of this comany form week 1 and 2
You need to develop at least five marketing objectives as part of your planning process. Objectives should be realistic, measurable, and time-specific.
Objectives must also be consistent with the priorities of the organization.
Why this paper? Every business needs to clearly understand who their target customers are. As you read this week, by using segmentation and targeting techniques, marketers can better identify who to target, where the targets live, which communication platforms will be best to reach them, and how to best position and speak about the product or service.
Here are some short videos to help you think about segmentation, targeting and positioning:

As you write your objectives (goals) paper this week, please be specific. In other words, this would be too general: “Increase the number of customers.”
Specific would be: “Increase customers ages 25-54 within 4-miles of the business (or sales) by 20%, within 12-months.” This is a more specific goal, explains how you will measure success, and by when.
Being specific is important.
As we move through the course, you would then go on to explain which specific customers you would target and your message to convince them.
Writing objectives you want to use the SMART criteria:
SPECIFIC: Details exactly what needs to be done.
MEASURABLE: How progress will be measured.
ACHIEVABLE: Objective is accepted by those responsible for accomplishing it.
REALISTIC: Objective is possible to attain.
TIMED: Time period to achieve objective is clearly stated.
