MICHELLE MARSHALL Developing a New Initiative for Use in Teacher Evaluation Case Study 3

I have attached the directions for the case study paper. I will upload the case study reading On Thursday 7/22, by 11am once I get to the office and scan them to my flash drive. However, I have taken a photo of the case study and the questions to answer and attached them below. If
you are unable to read them, then I will upload the scanned file tomorrow. Just let me know.
In the direction, the last page has references that the professor wants us to use for citation.

These are 5 questions that need to be answered from the case study.

Preliminary Analysis Questions
1. Specify the fundamental assessment demand being placed on Maizebrook staff. Critique the appropriateness of this demand.

2. What are the advantages/disadvantages of all teachers using the same SLO for the pilot year of the program?

Implications for ID Practice Questions
1. Statistically, students who score on the low or high end of the normal curve will not show sufficient growth without additional robust instructional interventions and support. What are the ethics of asking staff members to design their instruction to show evidence of student growth in either of these situations?

2. What are the benefits and challenges of asking teachers to implement an instructional initiative that has been developed by the central district office versus implementing an initiative developed by the teachers themselves?

3. What can school districts do to create teacher buy-in to instructional initiatives? What are some challenges that school districts face in
attempting to do so?
