Here you will complete the calculations you discussed in milestone three.
Please read the feedback in your first three milestones to make sure you are doing the appropriate analysis.
Specifically, you must address these critical elements:
A. Graphs: In this section, you will use graphical displays to examine the data and formulate an initial hypothesis. In particular, you should:
1. Create key graphical displays that give a sense of potential relationships between variables.
Include the graphs and discuss why you selected these graphical displays as opposed to others.
You will need a histogram of each variable or a side-by-side boxplot or dot plot.
B. Conduct appropriate hypothesis tests – a two-sample t-test to analyze the data set.
C. Explain why these tests are the best choice in this context and how they compare with established best practices.
D. Analysis of Biostatistics: Use this section to describe your findings from a statistical standpoint. Be sure to:
1. Present key biostatistics from the graphs, tests performed, and explain what they mean.
Be sure to include a spreadsheet showing your work as an appendix (‘Your work’ is the StatCrunch output, although occasionally I have a student do all the analysis by hand and if that is the case upload your handwritten analysis).
2. What statistical inferences or conclusions can you draw based on the hypothesis tests performed? Justify your response.
The spreadsheet that you are required to include in the appendix is the output from StatCrunch that you either copied or took a screenshot of or otherwise copied into your word document.
