Models of Health Care Management
Introduction
Any
business needs a better management strategy that can make the organization
successful and high-profit realization ability. The managers should adopt the
best management models that are flexible and increase interactivity and
inclusivity of the members of the staff and the management. Situational
leadership theory gives a clear hint of what should be done by both managers
and workers. In this essay, a comparison between situational leadership and
Kurt Lewin’s change management model will be made.
Comparison
Between Situational Leadership Theory and Kurt Lewis Change Management.
Situational
leadership theory is the strategy used by leaders to adopt the environmental
change in management to make the best decision for the organization. Adapting
to the changes improves team spirit and creates a financial balance within an
organization (Cherry, 2020). In this type of management model, the management
focuses on defining the tasks to the employees on how and when to do different
jobs. It primarily focuses on managing the general performance of the employees
in the organization. They also support the employees by creating fields of
cohesion and unity, motivation, and dedication to the staff.
On
the other hand, Kurt Lewis’s change model focuses on general change on the
personality and decisional making for the better of the organization (Shethna,
2021). The model calls for members of the organization to adapt to the changes
within the organization. First, the manager needs to unfreeze the staff by
telling them how the old methods are not working as per their expectations,
then instill new changes to the yielding team. After making the change, the
manager is obliged to refreeze his staff by replacing the previous strategies
with the new ones for better results.
The
Best Model for Healthcare Organizations
The
situational leadership theory is the best approach and model to adopt in the
organization since it bases its argument and emphasis on how and when the
employees should do their work and creates a conducive environment to make sure
the employees are happy and motivated (Cherry, 2020). This helps in ensuring
the organization can keep its staff for long and realize an improved profit.
Conclusion
The
best leadership and management models should focus on organizational management
and that of the staff. The organizational management would improve the work
dissemination by the employees to the latter while the staff management would
improve the integration and cohesion within the organization, and this makes
the staff members to be motivated and pushed to give their best to the
organization

Assignment It is no secret that there is a shortage of healthcare professionals today, and the deficits will continue to increase over the next decade. Healthcare organizations, human resources, and healthcare managers will need to work hard to recruit employees and even harder to retain them. Take time to research and review the Situational Leadership Theory (SLT) by Hersey and Blanchard and compare it with another management model within the healthcare industry. Assess whether SLT or the model you chose would be a better fit in healthcare today and consider the relation of each with interpersonal and interprofessional teams in the workplace. Explain your argument with supporting evidence with in-text citations and at least ten resources in the reference list.
Mechanics: For this assignment, you will provide a Title Page, Abstract, and Reference Page (note: minimum of 10 references) in a 5-7 page essay.
