Your task as as explained within my power point is to select one of the topics that I highlighted in the power point and address it within your reflection. I want to see what you learned from the text about the topic but also what other additional research you found in relation to the topic. Finally, I want to hear your own voice address your thoughts about the topic.
Thus, your paper should include
1. An introduction to the topic
2. A bit of information about the topic as presented within your text (show me you read)
3. Outside information on the topic, not covered in your text (show me you did some research)
4. Finally, your own voice, meaning your thoughts on the information you have just presented in parts 1-3 above.
Please note: In addition to showing your ability to research and share additional facts that you find, I also want to hear your voice come through in the paper. Thus, as you explain new facts that you found in your research. Also, share what you think about the idea you are presenting or if feelings came up for you as you researched. I should not just have a page full of cited information with no student or personal voice.
Finally, you MUST cite your sources (even if informally) and I don’t want to read word for word from Wikipedia. Actually, to your research, find strong source material, and then summarize the important or noteworthy ideas you want to share. Then expand, in your own words on the significance of the idea presented, as you see it.
Your assignment: Please write a 1.5 to 3 page paper (12 font and double spaced), addressing one of the key topics addressed in your power point from this chapter. For example, Frida Kahlo, Freud, Dada art, Harlem Renaissance, etc.
This assignment is worth 25 points
10 points for information on the topic, both from text and your own research.
10 points for showing your research and including your own voice as well.
5 points for organization and clarity of writing
