Moral philosophy

This paper is an opportunity for you to reflect on what it means to live a good life and to do so in conversation with the philosophers we have read in this unit—Bentham, Kant, Aristotle. (You may also write about Christian ethics, but are not required to.) All of you are trying our best to do good and to be good. As you think about your own life, the past you have led, the present you live, and the future you hope for, which of these philosophers seems like the best guide to being and doing good? It may help you to review the powerpoints, readings, and especially the Crash Course philosophy videos.
Satisfactory papers will do the following:
• Argue clearly and persuasively for a thesis derived from one of the approaches
• Ground that argument in a reading of the text of the philosopher that represents it
• Ground that argument in narrative details from your own life
• State objections to the approach from the position of at least one of the other approaches
