As we have discussed there are five elements of music with which composers and songwriters create emotion (melody, harmony, pulse, soundscape and form). For details, see unit one document, at first link below.
We have also discussed that there are at least 11 functions of music in film.
In a minimum of 250 words Google doc:
1) Compare and contrast the use of melody and soundscape, in the following clips.
2) Make note of and describe 3 of the music functions of in each of the following two film excerpts.
Feel free to describe your responses in emotional, non-technical terms. This is about your opinion, it is not meant to be a technical assignment!
3) After you watch the two movie clips, watch the clips about the respective composers. Make note of and include in your response at least one interesting detail about each of these composers.
