Myth of Progress on the tech frontier

As a part of our course learning outcomes, we are to demonstrate proof of the writing process, which includes prewriting, organizing, and developing ideas around a thesis, drafting, revising, editing, and proofreading. These steps in our writing process are imperative to practice to produce better essays, but more importantly, better (and more effective) writers.
Make sure to have the following for your…
Introduction
Hook
A developed lead-in that contextualizes your topic
For example, any essential definition(s) or background information needed for your reader to understand your argument
Concise thesis
Omit any use of “I” “me” and “you”
Detailed Outline
Topic sentences for each body paragraph
These first sentences to your body paragraphs should summarize what point you want to argue in that paragraph
2-3 working examples to prove your topic sentence for each paragraph. I encourage you to use our class reading material to support your points.
Several sentences explaining your example and how it proves your topic sentence/thesis
Format
Your detailed outline can be in bullet point form or paragraph form; it’s whatever format that works best for you; however, whichever format you choose, your entry should be in complete sentences (as opposed to single word items on a list). Use this assignment to develop your focus on your paper topic.
We will get to talk on MLA format in the weeks to come– until then, cite your sources in MLA format to the best of your ability
