Instructions: Analyze the topic and use one or more theoriss to “read” the topic based on sociology’s major theorists and theoretical approaches, from the Classical founders to the present. In the example, “Doe” is the outside scholar’s last name and “1999” is the year that the outside scholar’s work was published. Since the book is authored by Ritzer, you also note “cited in Ritzer” and then follow by showing the year Ritzer’s book was published, which is 2003; the page number shows the location inside Ritzer’s book where the outside scholar is quoted.
