1. Read at variety of poems from New England poets selection and enjoy!! Perhaps go outside, or find a comfy place indoors and read and enjoy poetry. After you are done complete the following assignment.

a. From your text, read at least 5 poems from New England poets, etc.
b. After reading each poem journal your thoughts and complete close readings on at least 5 poems on the poems and read about the poet from Poetry Foundation or the book (if you purchased)
c. Record information you feel is important about this author and their writing.
d. What do you find that these poets have in common, or not in common after reviewing and reading your journal notes?
e. Have you found that you like or understand one poet better than the other, why is this?
f. What is it that you question about each poet or one particular poet?
Answer questions that are appropriate to you the poem you are referencing!
4. Choose 5 Poets OR 5 poems or a combination of 5 poems from one poet or a mix and submit a 2-3 page journal of your reflections. Be sure to have an MLA style heading, however the rest can be a journal style as that is the assignment is to practice close reading and journal and record ideas!!!
