In this class, we’ve learned how to break down music into its component basic elements (melody, harmony, texture, meter, rhythm, form, timbre, and dynamics). This has given you a robust vocabulary with which to discuss music in a language that musicians understand. How has this also changed the way you listen to music? Provide at least one example from your recent listening. Do not use musical examples from the class; use an example from your own listening of a piece/song not covered in this class.

Construction (writing clarity, grammar, syntax, punctuation, spelling, capitalization, word choice, etc.): 20 points
Substantive and specific feedback to two of your classmates’ posts: 50 points
