Part One : Comment on the “new” situations in journalism from your perspective. Does AI scare you? Will there come a point where we can’t tell real news from the fake? What should we do about that? On the other hand, what do you think of the dynamic immersive stories (the ones you don’t need an app for)? Would more journalism like that get you more interested in the news? What about the VR stuff and special apps–are they worth it (you have to have a VR headset or special apps)? What problems might these forms of journalism have? Could they win you over to more news participation?
Part Two : Reflect on the whole subject of the news as an element of good reasoning. Why is this an important issue? What would be the most important things the media could do to regain people’s trust in the news? Is it all on the back of the news media, or is there anything we should be doing? In terms of cogent reasoning, how does a free and effective news media support and empower us and why should we do all we can to support it?
