INSTRUCTIONS:Students must analyze an evaluation argument in a text related to I/P. Students are encouraged to consult the Readings file or contact the instructor for outside suggestions. The text may be of any medium or genre assigned in class.
In a short, separate paragraph, please summarize main argument of the text neutrally. Tell me briefly what is the opportunity, purpose, genre and medium of the text. This can be done within a short paragraph. Hint: Check when a piece was published and check current events at the time.
Then, write which type of criteria are being used in the evaluation argument (practical, aesthetic, or ethical)?
What ethos is being exemplified by the author? How does that ethos contribute to his/her/their stance?
