Obama leader

At the conclusion of this course you will be required to submit a capstone paper of five to ten pages which will demonstrate your mastery of the covered material. This paper will review the personality traits and leadership skills (or lack thereof) of a person of your choosing. This person can be a historical or contemporary figure and may be a well-known or not-so-well-known leader. You should introduce your leader and describe why they are or are not a good example of a leader and how you define those qualities. You will use the topics covered in this course to describe your person and shape your argument as to why they were or were not successful in your opinion. As we progress through the course you should pay particular attention to each chapter or section and how it may relate to your chosen leader and how you can take away positive and negative aspects from these topics.
Here is the assignment that you will submit at the end of Week 6:
Style – a five (5) to ten (10) page paper which is double-spaced, using APA, and 12 pt. Times New Roman or Arial font.
Grading – This assignment is worth 300 points and should be submitted no later than the Saturday of the final week of the course so to cover all the topics.
We will have covered a plethora of topics this term which are designed to enhance your understanding and application of the material in the field of leadership and management. These topics are intended to provide to you an advanced level of knowledge in each of the areas covered by weekly assignments and the course level competencies. Recalling this information, you are to write a term paper about a leader (historical or contemporary, personal or famous) which addresses several key areas as discussed in the course.
To demonstrate your mastery of the covered material, the paper should include the following:
Leader of your choosing which should include a short biographical sketch about the person and why you are choosing this individual. Should include education/experience background, company or organization, why you chose them, do you consider them a good or bad leader, etc. The biographical sketch should not be more than 3-4 paragraphs (may include more biographical information while incorporating material from course).
To support your argument, you will need to address topics as discussed in the course and how your person of interest was deficient in these areas or excelled in these areas. This should also cover the weekly and course level competencies and how(if) the person was able to demonstrate them effectively. Your paper should include your opinion of the person (as a leader) and how you feel that the person could improve their leadership skills.
Takeaways/Conclusion – you should describe how you can take examples from your person and transfer those lessons to your own personal leadership situation and address any specific areas which you feel you could improve upon or not replicate, etc.
