You have been hired by an educational entity (K-12 school; Higher Education, Corporate Training) as consultant to develop an observational instrument to help facilitate instructional improvement for their teachers/trainers. You were hired because of your knowledge of various models of effective instruction and because the school/company is focused on providing high quality instruction to their students/employees. However, they do not just merely want an instrument they want an instrument that can be utilized in a variety of settings and content areas so they insist that the instrument is field tested during the developmental process. Therefore your task is to develop an instrument of your own design that could be used to observe and provide feedback to teachers/facilitators of instruction in a setting of your choice. Your project should include the following: Describes the specific audience for which the instrument it to be used (K-12-Elementary, Secondary, Subject Area; Higher Education-Undergraduate, Graduate, Subject Area; Corporate-Type of Company, Content Area) Provides a theoretical basis for the instrument based on research for the domains/components of the instrument Provides at least three references related to the theoretical basis of the model. References are cited in APA format (see the Purdue OWL site for assistance) Provides a description of the domains/components of the instrument and an analysis of looks likes and sounds likes for the components Provides a data collection form/instrument that is completed when observing instruction All components should me merged into one document
