1. Ancient art or architecture (500+ years old) that would survive in the archaeological record
2. Focus on meaning and interpretations based on the archaeological context and association.
3. As you look at academic sources, keep these things in mind – do they cover the excavation information such as what context it was found in, and what other artifacts were found in the association? Also think about what arguments will you present, and which interpretations are relevant to your argument.
