Aaron S. Fogleman wrote From slaves, convicts and servants to free passengers in which he described colonial labor. Using your textbook, as well as the assigned readings, do the following in a paper:
Explain the growth of the slave labor system in the American colonies.
Explain whether some colonies were more reliant on slave labor than others, and if so, why that was.
Explain how this affected their development. Be sure to address changes in the colonial slave labor system after 1619, as well as the transition from an indentured servitude labor system to a slave system.

Your paper should include an introduction, a body with at least three fully developed paragraphs, and a conclusion. It should contain a fully developed and supported thesis statement.
