organizational culture assessment

PURPOSE: The purpose of this assignment is to assess an organization (not Kirkwood) using the principles of organizational culture. Organizational culture refers to a company’s mission, objectives, expectations and values that guide its employees. Think of it as the collection of traits that make a company what it is. A great culture exemplifies positive traits that lead to improved performance, while a dysfunctional company culture brings out qualities that can hinder even the most successful organizations. A work environment that possesses organizational culture is driven by purpose and clear expectations. This motivates and inspires employees to be more engaged in their work duties and interactions with others. A company’s organizational culture represents its public image and reputation. People make assumptions about businesses based on their interactions within and outside of the company.
