Peer Review Exercise: The Contingency Leadership Model in Action Within a Contemporary Workplace
Task 1: Create a new discussion topic on or before Thursday at 11:55 p.m. by clicking the ‘**REPLY HERE**’ post. In your reply, you will upload a completed draft of your Week 3 Research Paper to the discussion forum with a brief summary of the paper.
Task 2: After you have created your new discussion topic, you are required to read and critique a minimum of 2 of your classmates research papers. The first peer response is due by Friday at 11:55 p.m. Each of your responses should be a minimum of 100 words. Think of your responses in terms of a contribution to a dialogue, not a writing exercise or a chat room. Elaborate a single idea and keep your post short but concise as if you were holding a conversation with your classmate(s).
Incorporate what you have learned from the weekly reading material and from your own real-world experiences. In your critique, you should focus on the following items:
• What parts of the essay added to your knowledge of the subject?
• Were the paragraphs in logical order? Did it read smoothly? Is there factual evidence to backup opinions?
• What are your recommendations to improve this essay?
Be specific.
NOTE 1: Nonsubstantive contributions such as “Good job” or “I couldn’t find any issues” will not be awarded any credit.
NOTE 2: Do not critique mechanical, spelling, and/or grammar mistakes in the draft unless they are persistent and cause difficulty with understanding the research paper.
Be as thorough as possible when writing your posts, and remember, this is an academic assignment, so no “text-talk,” no conversational tone, and ABOVE ALL OTHER THINGS… don’t plagiarize!! Lastly, spell-check and proofread your work! Failure to follow these steps will negatively impact your grade.
The Week 3 Peer Review Exercise will use the grading rubric listed in the Grading Rubrics section under the Course Syllabus.
