Chapter 11- “Developing Leadership Diversity” pages 325-357 (6e) pages 327-359 (7e). This chapter explored the topic of diversity and multiculturalism. Today, there are still many challenges for creating diverse organizations with inclusive cultures. As women and minorities move up the management hierarchy, they often find it to be a lonely road to travel. As Sheryl Sandberg points out in her article on page 334 (6e) 336 (7e) Leader’s Bookshelf, “Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead, we all need to break down those barriers within ourselves and find our own assertiveness. For your assignment, regardless of your social status, how will you overcome and address these four barriers that may impede your success?

Write your weekly paper based upon “Overcoming Barriers”. Use “bolded headings” listed below to address each of the four topics you will address in your paper.
List each of the four key barriers and the impact they imply. (Barriers and Impact)
What will you do to overcome each inhibitor that impedes your future success? (Overcoming Barrier Inhibitors)

Formatting instructions:
Papers are to be well written with a logical flow of thought and carefully proofread for spelling/grammatical errors. Papers should be a minimum of one page, double-spaced, 12-point, Times New Roman font and 1-inch margins all the way around. Include on each page the title of the assignment at the top of the page, the due date, and your name. Use “bolded headings” to clearly identify those elements that you will be addressing.
