The Part 2 reflective discussion will cover Chapters 6-9 – allowing you to reflect on drug classifications, drug effects and impacts on the user, and differences between drug types for two (2) different drugs that you select.
Overall this reflective discussion will be at least 300 words and must follow the discussion rubric to receive full credit.
Notes for success: Use the module materials to your advantage – I give you access to data/stats and websites to gain information for each chapter and for each drug types!

Use the library resources and LibGuides to find research and cite support – the main databases are right there AND you can find scholarly and news articles via Proquest and Ebsco.
Review resources for HOW to cite and HOW to write discussions/reflections – I give you a guide to how I will grade and how you should cite so you will want to use them!

Start by selecting your first drug of choice – this can be a specific drug from one of the chapters or a drug NOT discussed in the lectures/text
Describe drug #1 in depth – begin your posting by discussing the drug in depth. Items like trends, popularity, usage and legality should be discussed. Be sure to cite AT LEAST two sources – not including your text – describing this drug. News reports and articles are acceptable here and stats/trends count as background info.
Discuss how the drug affects the user – continue your posting by discussing how drug #1 affects the user. Be sure to cite AT LEAST one source describing the user experience – other than your text! This can be a memoir, news article, documentary, personal forum or account – really anything that focuses on the outcomes and impacts of the drug. Health impacts and effects can also be used here.
Now that you’ve discussed Drug #1, I want you to select a second drug (Drug #2) that is in a different category than the first drug you selected – rely on the Goode chapters and the drugs wheel to help you separate out drug categories. You just don’t want two drugs from the same category.

Lastly, reply to at least two of your classmates IN DEPTH – this is more than just agreeing with their viewpoints or liking what they wrote. Instead you want to engage with their writing and ideas, point out any issues, and further the conversation being had.
