PC Hardware Essentials
Student Research Paper/Presentation:
Each student must complete a short
research paper assignment and a short
presentation of the topic to the class.
Research Paper: Select
a computer hardware component (hard drive, motherboard, cd/dvd-drive, floppy
drive, etc.) that has been discussed during this course.
Complete Internet
research on the specific device to locate additional
information/details not already
discussed in class.
Write a 1.1/2 – 2 page
paper summarizing the information you discovered during your Internet research.
You are required to use appropriate MLA document formatting, in-text citations
and referencing for this paper. Failure to use proper citations and references
is plagiarism and could result in a charge of academic dishonesty. No less than
three citations are required.
Prepare a short (3-5
minute) verbal presentation of what you found during your internet research.
This should be somewhat informal, yet highly informative.
