So the problem I want to write about is PFAS Chemicals in Firefighter Fear and I want to research this.

Firefighters across the United States fight fires on a daily basis. To properly fight fires these men and women need to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) to keep them safe. Among this PPE, fire fighters wear turnout gear that consist of overalls, jacket, gloves, hoods, and other fabric to keep them safe from burns and debris. This bunker gear is typically coated in chemicals that helps keep the temperature of the gear regulated and is fire retardant so that a fire fighter can get close to the fire without complications. The issue is that this chemical is laced with Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) that has shown signs of health risk for past and present firefighters. The chemicals have numerous carcinogens that expose firefighters to different types of cancers that have taken the lives of many men and women across the US.
