SHOWDOWING Elementary school – PRICIPAL/ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL/DISTRICT LEADER PAPER: Identify a principal, school leader,
district administrator, or higher education administrator, who will allow you to “shadow” him/her for at least half of a work day (a minimum of three hours). This activity must take place during Quarter 3/Spring Semester. By shadowing this leader, you will be following this
individual using tablet/paper and documenting all actions, without judgments. You will document all pertinent leadership moves to include:
whom the administrator interacts
actions he/she takes
any incidents which occur and solution-oriented decisions
who (students, teachers, etc.) were in the vicinity and what was taking place
Record times in increments of 5 or 10 minutes. Please be sure not to name the names of students or teachers. The paper should indicate a synopsis of your reflections of the experience using the TILS and/or PSEL Standards to indicate which standards were exhibited/displayed by the leader. Review the attached evaluation rubric. The checklists are available on eLearn Week 4 Module. Present the summary in a 3-5-page essay in APA 7th edition format. Include a properly formatted cover page on the assignment.
