Photography Assignment

HELLO. I have an assignment for photography course.

Below are instructions, but I will attach images so it may be more clear.

I have also attached the lsit of photographers, 10 images of by them must be included. Also need 5 scholarly sources to support. So basically write it up, with a common theme, FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE, very important. All documents necessary are attached. Also includes excerpts from syllabus, and the list of books we covered from library so you can find ANY ONE online to support (ony 1 sources needs to be from list of books/readings). All others from online scholarly, and of course the photographers.

I have re-pasted the main instructions below so these are most important.

INSTRUCTIONS::

The focus of the term paper will be on International Contemporary Photography in Asia; Africa; Australia and Latin America. For the paper, you will conceptualize and plan a hypothetical photography exhibition and write a scholarly 8 page double-spaced, typed formal academic essay that would accompany the show. The exhibition must include 10 images and revolve around a central theme. You must include the work of any four of the photographers listed below. Additionally, the exhibition can include other photographers who we have studied in the class (you can choose to have the work of 4-10 photographers in the exhibition- the only limitation is that you must choose four artists from the list below and can only include 10 images in the show. The essay must clearly and succinctly analyze the works selected and provide justification for their inclusion in the exhibition. Make sure to choose images that you can relate to one another. Consider the formal qualities of the chosen images, historical perspectives, social themes, interdisciplinary perspectives, or how the meaning of some photographs might change when presented in the context of other images. Remember that this essay should be a critical analysis of the works (not a description) and how they relate to the “theme” of the exhibition. While an imaginary exhibition is a framework to help you think about how you might make connections between these artists, your introduction and the body of the paper should focus on the theme, the artists and the works. The introduction should focus on the theme of the exhibition and be purely written in third person. Requirements: • Papers must be double spaced and 8 pages in length You must include images of each photograph chosen for the exhibition in an appendix at the back of the paper • You must refer to at least 5 outside scholarly sources. Acceptable sources include art journals, books, articles and exhibition catalogues. You can include additional popular sources like magazines, but these would not count as one of the scholarly sources. The Hannon Library has an excellent photography section. • At least one interdisciplinary source must be from outside the subject matter of Fine Arts or Photography (ie: Sociology; Political Science; Psychology; Women’s Studies; Theology; etc) • Students must include a bibliography and either endnotes or footnotes.
