You will create a slide presentation (Google Slides or PowerPoint) with a minimum of 11 slides (but there can be more).
Select at least two representative images depicting examples you would use for each of the environmental elements listed below. Each area will be represented on it’s own slide.
Meeting Areas -both small and large group
Greeting and Transition Areas (pick-up and drop-off)
Color schemes
Spaces for personal items and self-care (ie cubbies, bathrooms, teeth brushing, meals/snack areas)
Spaces and materials to support (individual slides for each of the following)
Language and Literacy
Math
Science
Visual and Performing Arts
History and Social Science
Health
For each area include an explanation that describes how what you selected represents developmentally appropriate practices aligned to the needs of children ages 3-5. This can be on the same slide as the images or on a separate one directly following the slide with the related images.
In a final slide, consider your total presentation and identify examples of how the environment supports
Physical development (fine and gross)
Social and emotional development
Save your slide presentation as a .pdf prior to uploading to the submission link.
