Please discuss with me if you’re not sure of your choice. The artist/artwork needs to have significance in today’s world, and you must state how he/she/it is significant in your presentation.

.Choose a painting, artist, sculptor, structure, opera, symphony, composer etc. I provide you the list of choices (see Presentation Choices List handoutbelow). Please discuss with me if you’re not sure of your choice. The artist/artwork needs to have significance in today’s world, and you must state how he/she/it is significant in your presentation. Most of your grade will hinge upon whetheryou have proven this significance.
.Findrelevant information in Polk State databases, books, on credible web sites, in magazines, etc.
.Summarizethe information you want to present from the different sources. (A summary states the important points gathered from the sources.)
.If the student plagiarizes any information, an automatic zero will be given to the presentation. You may NOT use “pre-made” slide shows from the internet or other sources (including anything from current or former students). This results in a zero.
.In your presentation slides, give the name of the articles/books/web sites you have used, as well as authors. You must cite ALL your sources in the presentation, either on each slide as you go, or a Works Cited page as your final slide.
.Make clear what contribution(s) the artist (or work or structure) made to the world, and why he/she/it continues to be significant today. You must also include how this artist affected you or hooked your interest –this is your personal reaction. Whydid you choose this person, place or thing to explore?
.Create visuals to enhance your presentation. Make the slides readable and clear. Use graphics or art to make it interesting. Use text/type that is easy to read and doesn’t clash or get lost in the graphics/colors/art on the slides.
.Make sure your presentation is turned in on the due date. Late presentations are 30 points off automatically.
.Create a PowerPoint slide presentation incorporating all elements above. Must have at least 15 slides!Plus, see Score Sheet/rubric on Canvas for more details.
