· Compare and contrast the three nations’ law enforcement. Each nation’s law enforcement has a different core value – the rule of law in the United States (non-political), social harmony in Japan (high degree of discretion), and the CCP party line in China (political apparatus). Elaborate on those core values respectively. Analyze their characteristics and their culture backgrounds. It is important to understand why each nation has developed a different police system.
· Then discuss how the core values have affected police structure, policing style, and police-community relationship in the three nations.
· Discuss the crime of sexual assault in the three nations – stats, perpetrators, victims, and social reactions etc.
o Describe and compare how the crime is handled by each nation’s police according to their core values
o Analyze the strengths and constraints of such police operations from the point of view of core values. You should use real cases and examples to illustrate your points.
· The paper must use references in APA 7th style, with at least FIVE references from academic resources; some sources that can be used are also attached.
