This will be an evidence and analysis-based (1200 words max) document detailing the main challenges and threats facing the UK, as well as the current policies designed by their leadership to address this environment. It should also emphasize the key relevant points for the UAE

Organization of the memo

1- Define the main challenges and threats facing the country
What is the nature of UK’s current security environment?
What are the principal political, military and economic concerns that are perceived to endanger the national interests?

2- Provide concise background to the government’s current response
What are UK’s strategic policy objectives in responding to the main threats and challenges?
How is the government applying the DIME (Diplomacy, Information, Military, and Economy) instruments of national power to achieve its objectives?

3- Assess the strategic implications for the UAE’s bilateral relations with the UK
What do UK’s security situation, and policy response mean for the UAE? Are their shared interests/concerns?
Where are there opportunities for advancing the bilateral relationship? What are the possibilities? What are the risks/limitations?

4- Present realistic policy recommendations for the UAE’s bilateral relations with UK
What policy areas should be prioritized and what actions should be undertaken by Abu Dhabi to address them?
How do your policy recommendations account for UK’s security environment while at the same time align with the UAE’s 10 Principles of the 50th.
