Political Action. This assignment is meant to encourage increased awareness and involvement in political action, as it relates to nursing and health care
Summary statements must include how the activity you completed is relevant to nursing or health care.
Examples of activities that will fulfill the requirements include, but not limited to:
a. Writing to one of your state or federal legislators regarding nursing or a health care issue. Submit a copy in BB.
b. Writing a letter to the editor of your local newspaper. Submit a copy in BB.
c. Interviewing a political candidate regarding his/her opinions on health care reform. Submit a summary in BB.
d. Campaigning for a political candidate or ballot issue. Submit evidence of participation in BB.
e. Conducting voter registration. Submit evidence of completion in BB.
f. Attending a legislative hearing or Nursing Commission Meeting and write a summary of topics discussed and the importance to nursing. Submit summary in BB.
