For the first paper for the class, I would like you to choose a single artifact. The artifact could come from your Political Communication Journal or be a new, unique artifact. I am hoping that you will use this analysis as a start on your final campaign study.
An effective analysis should consist of the following:
Artifact Identification What artifact are you studying? Where did you see it? Is where you found it different than the original presentation?
Context and History In this section, you should consider where the artifact was originally displayed? What was the context and history surrounding where it was displayed?
Artifact Analysis Using the terms from Key Concepts, how would you describe the audience for the artifact? What was the message and how was it communicated? Who was the perceived creator/communicator for the artifact?
Effectiveness In this section, you should discuss the effectiveness of the artifact.
Conclusions In this section, you should summarize and complete your arguments about the artifact
and also what we can learn going forward from your analysis.
I am expecting a senior level analysis on this, and I am expecting it to be 3-4 pages, doublespaced, in either MLA or APA format. You should have a works cited list, clear use of parenthetical citation and demonstrate college-level syntax and grammar. You will be submitting this through SafeAssign.
